What happened

According to ICT, Tsekho Tugchak, a man in his forties from a nomadic village in Meuruma township, set fire to himself and died in Ngaba (Ch: Aba) on 7 March 2018, the first self-immolation protest inside Tibet that year. ICT reported that Chinese authorities intensified security measures in the week of the 10 March anniversary.
