What happened

According to ICT, Nyangchang Bum, the eldest of three brothers, set fire to himself and died early in the evening of 12 November 2012 in Dowa township, Rebkong (Ch: Tongren). Local people carried him to the monastery for prayers, and Tibetans in exile told ICT that a few thousand people gathered to recite long-life prayers for the Dalai Lama.
