What happened

According to ICT, citing Kirti monks in contact with the area, 18-year-old Dorjee set fire to himself at about 6.30 pm on 5 March 2012 and walked towards the local government office in Cha township, shouting slogans against the Chinese government’s policies in Tibet. He is believed to have died at the scene.

Aftermath

ICT reported that the authorities took away his body.
