What happened

According to ICT, Rinchen, a widowed mother in her early thirties, set fire to herself near a military camp close to Kirti Monastery in Ngaba on 4 March 2012. Kirti monks in exile said she called for the return of the Dalai Lama and for freedom, and died soon afterwards.
