What happened

Voice of America Tibetan reported, as cited by ICT, that Wangchen Norbu set fire to himself at around 8 pm on 19 November 2012 near Kangtsa Gaden Choephelling Monastery, close to the hometown of the late 10th Panchen Lama, and died. Sources said he called for the return of the Dalai Lama, the release of the Panchen Lama and freedom for Tibet.
