What happened

According to ICT, Norchuk set fire to herself and died in a village in the Trotsik area of Ngaba (Ch: Aba) County on the night of 5 March 2015, the first self-immolation protest in Tibet that year. ICT reported that, unusually, the authorities did not take her body and local people cremated her the next morning to pay their respects.
