What happened

According to ICT, Neykyab set fire to himself and died beside a shrine with religious offerings in Ngaba (Ch: Aba) County on 16 April 2015. Tibetan sources said he was a relative by marriage of Dargye, who had carried out a self-immolation protest in Lhasa in May 2012. A local source told RFA that he was protesting against Chinese policies in Tibet.

Aftermath

His body was taken away by Chinese security forces (RFA, quoted by ICT).
