What happened

According to ICT, 24-year-old monk Kunchok Pelgye set fire to himself outside the main assembly hall of Taktsang Lhamo Kirti Monastery in Dzoege (Ch: Ruo’ergai) County on 8 December 2012, and died. Kirti monks in exile told ICT that the monks present gathered around him reciting a prayer in honour of Kirti Rinpoche and carried him back to his room.
