V-TAG Bengaluru joined hands with the Chief Representative Office (CRO), Bengaluru, and other Tibetan organisations to mark Tibetan National Identity Preservation Week through an evening of meaningful conversations and cultural reflection. The gathering brought together members of the Tibetan community to reflect on the importance of safeguarding Tibetan national identity and ensuring that its cultural heritage continues to be passed on to future generations.
The programme provided a space for community members to discuss the significance of preserving the Tibetan language, culture, traditions, and shared identity. It also encouraged reflection on the responsibilities of individuals and communities in keeping these traditions alive, particularly among younger generations growing up in diverse social and cultural environments.
Through collaboration among Tibetan organisations and community members, the gathering highlighted the value of collective participation in cultural preservation. It reinforced the understanding that sustaining Tibetan identity requires continued engagement, intergenerational learning, and a shared commitment to passing on the community’s heritage.
The observance of Tibetan National Identity Preservation Week in Bengaluru reflected the importance of bringing people together around a common cultural inheritance. Through initiatives of this kind, V-TAG Bengaluru and its collaborating organisations continue to create opportunities for dialogue, strengthen community connections, and encourage the preservation of Tibetan identity for generations to come.
Preserving our identity. Strengthening our community. Carrying our heritage forward.
