What happened

According to ICT, 18-year-old Lubhum Gyal set fire to himself on the main street of Dowa township in Rebkong (Ch: Tongren) on 22 November 2012 and died. Tibetans gathered at the scene and, disregarding official warnings, took him for cremation near Dowa Monastery, where monks held prayers.
