What happened

According to ICT, citing Kirti monks in Dharamsala, Losang Lozin, an 18-year-old monk, set fire to himself in front of the main assembly hall of his monastery, Gedhen Tashi Choeling, on 17 July 2012 and tried to walk towards the township government office. He died the same day, and Tibetans at his monastery marked his death.
