What happened

According to ICT, Kunchok set fire to himself outside a police station in Tsangkor town in Gade (Ch: Gande) County on 16 September 2014. Tibetans nearby put out the flames and he was taken to hospital. ICT noted that news of his protest reached Tibetans in exile only weeks later because of restrictions on information and tightened security in the area.
