What happened

According to ICT, citing Kirti monks in exile, three young monks of Ngoshul Monastery in Ngaba (Ch: Aba) County set fire to themselves together at around 3 pm on 7 November 2012, calling for the return of the Dalai Lama to Tibet and for a free Tibet. Fifteen-year-old Dorjee died at the scene; his companions Samdrup and Dorjee Kyab survived and were taken away by the authorities. The CTA places the protest near the police station at Tsodrug village in Gomang township.
